Fitna e Dajjal

MASIH AL DAJJAL (second A in Dajjal is long "ah" sound) is the enemy of the faithful, and fated to fight Jesus (Isa). As such, it's interesting to read what Islam says in relation to the great deceiver, Misah al Dajjal (the false Messiah [Misah = Messiah]).

The Antichrist is not a peaceful deceiver, not a simple godlike liar who plots and plans. His nature is the true nature of Abaddon, a creature of immense evil, immense power, and immense fury.

Mainstream Islamic thought, not the stupidity of those who flee their own countries to infest ours, but those who try and follow their faith diligently, understand that Masih al Dajjal is a monster. One eyed, gigantic like a nephilim of old, a creature of total barbarism, injustice and murder who will spread devastation wherever he can before The End.

As the embodiment of the Dies Irae it's a worrying concept and a foe worthy of God, although God's victory is assured.

Where Islam is going to run into trouble with both Western civilisation and one of its neighbours is the teaching that:

The Messenger has said, “The Dajjal will emerge from within the Jews, and the Monafeqs (hypocrites) will be its followers” -Ebne Hanbal (ra)- Muslim.

The Fitna e Dajjal, the "pugnacity" or angry resistance or rebellion of the Antichrist is a key feature, a sense that this being is the ultimate rebel- a good agreement with the Christian Lucifer, the Accuser ("Satanas").

There is a 52 part islamic documentary called The Arrivals. It teaches that the typical Christ of typical Christianity is in fact Antichrist, not the true prophet Jesus (Isa) at all. It adopts the recently promulgated Masonic / Theosophic / Bilderberger idea that Christ is just the sun god, and that therefore Christians are by and large lost causes who bow down to a false messiah, indeed THE false messiah.

"According to the documentary, Jesus Christ as He has been worshipped by Christians throughout history is merely a Christianized version of Ra, the Egyptian Sun god. Accordingly, the video makes the following claim about Jesus (aka Ra): "The 'one-eyed' sun god was referred to as 'the son of god,' 'the light of the world' and 'the ruler of all.' Has the Church deceived its followers into worshipping a one-eyed sun god? Has there been a worldwide conspiracy that is preparing the world to accept the one-eyed dajjal as the true messiah?"

Just as I personally think that there is a minority of devout islamics who are following a righteous path, so too do I think that some Christians, even in the organised churches, are following the true teachings of God. I think that whilst it is important to find and destroy cult thinking and devil worship it is equally important not to tar an entire movement with the same brush. In the same way that islamic illegal immigrants are clearly horribly in the wrong, the islamic people who stay behind to try and build up their own nations are CLEARLY in the right, both in terms of the hadith and in a general human sense.

Along with the prophecy about the appearance of the Dajjal, the Messenger of Allah has left us some definite signs and symbols by which his Ummah or people can correctly identify and consequently be resistant to it and fight the impostor. In this chapter, the Hadis of the Messenger of Allah regarding the identity of the Dajjal will be put forward to get a clearer picture of the situation. Seen in this light, it is a very pertinent and important point regarding the Dajjal mainly because if the actual character of the Dajjal is not manifest before us, then the magnitude of the dangers represented by it cannot be accurately comprehended either. It is quite similar to an enemy disguised amongst us as a friend; therefore the harm it can cause us is enormous. It may be that this is why the Messenger of Allah has left us so many details wherewith the Dajjal can be identified. However, he has also added that it is only true Mo'mens who will be able to correctly identify the Impostor, even if they are illiterate, while on the other hand, even highly educated persons will miss the 'Kafer' written on the forehead of the Dajjal.

We can't accept or reject teachings until we have read them and heard them for ourselves. Rather than trust the media, who are truly lying scum, and worse, take the time to read islamic thought and not just the texts as promulgated from unreliable sources but the core beliefs of the communities. In the same way that some Catholic scholars go back not just to the apocrypha but also to the literal first manuscripts, the Dajjal concept is something for which we need to go back to first sources.

Masih al Dajjal is the ender of days, when it appears, the world as we know it is over. In this he reflects the same purpose as Lucifer in Christian teachings.

DAJJAL, SIAPAKAH GERANGANNYA?

The following signs are ascribed to Ali in the coming of Dajjal:
  • People will stop offering the prayers
  • Dishonesty will be the way of life
  • Falsehood will become a virtue
  • People will mortgage their faith for worldly gain
  • Usury and bribery will become legitimate
  • Imbeciles would rule over the wise
  • Blood of innocents would be shed
  • Pride will be taken on acts of oppression
  • The rulers will be corrupt
  • The scholars will be hypocrites
  • There will be acute famine at the time
  • There will be no shame amongst people
  • Many people would worship Satan
  • There would be no respect for elderly people
The Dajjal will appear somewhere between Iran and Iraq and will travel the whole world preaching his falsehood, but will be unable to enter Mecca or Medina. Isa (Jesus) will return and the Dajjal will gather an army of those he has deceived and lead them in a war against Jesus, who shall be accompanied by an army of the righteous.

ALL fitan in the world contribute to and are connected to HIS fitna. In other words the chaos and the hate and the murder reach a crescendo in the manifestation of Misah al Dajjal. It is not accidental, it is the plan.

Dajjal cannot enter Medina
Hadith - Bukhari 9.245, Narrated Abu Said
One day Allah's Apostle narrated to us a long narration about Ad-Dajjal and among the things he narrated to us, was: "Ad-Dajjal will come, and he will be forbidden to enter the mountain passes of Medina. He will encamp in one of the salt areas neighboring Medina and there will appear to him a man who will be the best or one of the best of the people. He will say 'I testify that you are Ad-Dajjal whose story Allah's Apostle has told us.' Ad-Dajjal will say (to his audience), 'Look, if I kill this man and then give him life, will you have any doubt about my claim?' They will reply, 'No,' Then Ad-Dajjal will kill that man and then will make him alive. The man will say, 'By Allah, now I recognize you more than ever!' Ad-Dajjal will then try to kill him (again) but he will not be given the power to do so."
Hadith - Bukhari 9.247, Narrated Huraira
Allah's Apostle said, "There are angels at the mountain passes of Medina (so that) neither plague nor Ad-Dajjal can enter it."

Hadith - Bukhari 9.239, Narrated Anas bin Malik
The Prophet said, "Ad-Dajjal will come and encamp at a place close to Medina and then Medina will shake thrice whereupon every Kafir (disbeliever) and hypocrite will go out (of Medina) towards him."

Dajjal is One-Eyed

Hadith - Bukhari 9.241, Narrated Abdullah ibn Umar
Allah's Apostle stood up amongst the people and then praised and glorified Allah as He deserved and then he mentioned Ad-Dajjal, saying, "I warn you of him, and there was no prophet but warned his followers of him; but I will tell you something about him which no prophet has told his followers: Ad-Dajjal is one-eyed whereas Allah is not."
Hadith - Bukhari 9.504, Narrated Abdullah
Ad-Dajjal was mentioned in the presence of the Prophet . The Prophet said, "Allah is not hidden from you; He is not one-eyed," and pointed with his hand towards his eye, adding, "While Al-Masih Ad-Dajjal is blind in the right eye and his eye looks like a protruding grape."
Hadith - Bukhari 9.245, Narrated Anas
The Prophet said, "No prophet was sent but that he warned his followers against the one-eyed liar (Ad-Dajjal). Beware! He is blind in one eye, and your Lord is not so, and there will be written between his (Ad-Dajjal's) eyes (the word) Kafir (i.e., disbeliever)." (This Hadith is also quoted by Abu Huraira and Ibn 'Abbas).

Hadith - Bukhari 9.237, Narrated Abu Huraira
Allah's Apostle  said, "The Hour will not be established
     (1) till two big groups fight each other whereupon there will be a great number of casualties on both sides and they will be following one and the same religious doctrine,
     (2) till about thirty Dajjals (liars) appear, and each one of them will claim that he is Allah's Apostle,
     (3) till the religious knowledge is taken away (by the death of religious scholars)
     (4) earthquakes will increase in number
     (5) time will pass quickly,
     (6) afflictions will appear,
     (7) Al-Harj, (i.e., killing) will increase,
     (8) till wealth will be in abundance--so abundant that a wealthy person will worry lest nobody should accept his Zakat, and whenever he will present it to someone, that person (to whom it will be offered) will say, 'I am not in need of it,'
     (9) till the people compete with one another in constructing high buildings,
     (10) till a man when passing by a grave of someone will say, 'Would that I were in his place,'
     (11) and till the sun rises from the West.
So when the sun will rise and the people will see it (rising from the West) they will all believe (embrace Islam) but that will be the time when: (As Allah said,) 'No good will it do to a soul to believe then, if it believed not before, nor earned good (by deeds of righteousness) through its Faith.' (6.158) And the Hour will be established while two men spreading a garment in front of them but they will not be able to sell it, nor fold it up; and the Hour will be established when a man has milked his she-camel and has taken away the milk but he will not be able to drink it; and the Hour will be established before a man repairing a tank (for his livestock) is able to water (his animals) in it; and the Hour will be established when a person has raised a morsel (of food) to his mouth but will not be able to eat it."

Hadith - Muslim #7015, Narrated An-Nawwas ibn Sam'an
Allah's Apostle mentioned of the Dajjal one day in the morning. He sometimes described him as insignificant and sometimes described (his turmoil) as very significant (and we felt) as if he were in the cluster of the date-palm trees. When we went to him (to the Holy Prophet) in the evening and he read (the signs of fear) on our faces, he said: What is the matter with you?
We said: Allah's Apostle you mentioned the Dajjal this morning (sometimes describing him) as insignificant and sometimes very important, until we began to think he was present in some (nearly) part of the cluster of the date-palm trees.
So he said: I harbour fear in regard to you in so many other things besides the Dajjal. If he comes forth while I am among you, I shall contend with him on your behalf, but if he comes forth while I am not among you, a man must contend on his own behalf and Allah will take care of every Muslim on my behalf (and safeguard him against his evil). He (the Dajjal) will be a young man with twisted, cropped hair, and a blind eye. I compare him with AbdulUzza ibn Qatan. He who among you will survive to see him should recite over him the opening verses of Surah al-Kahf (xviii). He will appear on the way between Syria and Iraq and will spread mischief right and left. O servant of Allah! Adhere (to the path of Truth).
We said: Allah's Apostle , how long will he stay on Earth?
He said: For forty days, one day like a year, one day like a month, one day like a week, and the rest of the days will be like your days.
We said: Allah's Apostle will one day's prayer suffice for the prayers of the day equal to one year?
Thereupon he said: No, but you must make an estimate of the time (and then observe prayer).
We said: Allah's apostle how quickly will he walk upon the earth?
Thereupon he  said: Like cloud driven by the wind. He will come to the people and invite them (to a wrong religion); they will affirm their faith in him and respond to him. He will then give a command to the sky: there will be rainfall upon the Earth and it will grow crops. Then in the evening, their pasturing animals will come to them with their humps very high, their udders full of milk and their flanks distended. He will then come to another people and invite them. But they will reject him so he will go away from them; they will have a drought and nothing will be left with them in the form of wealth. He will then walk through the desert and say to it: Bring forth your treasures. The treasures will come out and gather before him like a swarm of bees. He will then call someone in the flush of youth, strike him with the sword, cut him into two pieces and (make these pieces lie at the distance which is generally between the archer and his target. He will then call (that young man) and he will come forward laughing with his face gleaming (with happiness).

It will at this very time that Allah will send Christ, son of Mary. He will descend at the white minaret on the eastern side of Damascus, wearing two garments lightly dyed with saffron and placing his hands on the wings of two Angels. When he lowers his head, there will fall beads of perspiration from his head, and when he raises it up, beads like pearls will scatter from it. Every non-believer who smells the odour of his body will die and his breath will reach as far as he is able to see. He will then search for him (Dajjal) until he catches hold of him at the gate of Ludd and kills him. Then a people whom Allah had protected will come to Jesus, son of Mary, and he will wipe their faces and inform them of their ranks in Paradise. It will be under such conditions that Allah will reveal to Jesus these words: I have brought forth from among My servants such people against whom none will be able to fight; you take these people safely to Tur, and then Allah will send Gog and Magog and they will swarm down from every slope. The first of them will pass the lake of Tiberias and drink out of it. And when the last of them passes, he will say: There was once water there.

Jesus and his companions will then be besieged here (at Tur, and they will be so hard pressed) that the head of the ox will be dearer to them than one hundred dinars. Allah's Apostle , Jesus, and his companions will supplicate Allah, Who will send to them insects (which will attack their necks) and in the morning they would perish as one single person. Allah's Apostle , Jesus, and his companions, then come down to Earth and they will not find on Earth as much space as a single span that is not filled with putrefaction and stench. Allah's Apostle , Jesus, and his companions will then beseech Allah who will send birds whose necks would be like those of Bactrian camels and they will carry them away and throw them where Allah wills.

Then Allah will send rain which no house of mud-bricks or (tent of) camel-hair will keep out and it will wash the Earth until it resembles a mirror. Then the Earth will be told to bring forth its fruit and restore its blessing and, as a result thereof, there will grow (such a big) pomegranate that a group of people will be able to eat it and seek shelter under its skin, a dairy cow will give so much milk that a whole party will be able to drink it. The milking camel will give such (a large quantity of) milk that the whole tribe will be able to drink from it, and the milking-sheep will give so much milk that the whole family will be able to drink from it. At that time Allah will send a pleasant wind which will soothe (people) even under their armpits. He will take the life of every Muslim and only the wicked will survive who will commit adultery like asses and the Last Hour would come to them.

Hadith - Abu Dawood #4305, Narrated Imran ibn Husayn
The Prophet said: Let him who hears of the Dajjal (Antichrist) go far from him for I swear by Allah that a man will come to him thinking he is a believer and follow him because of confused ideas roused in him by him.

Conquest of Constantinople

Hadith - Abu Dawood #4283, Narrated Abdullah ibn Busr
The Prophet said: The time between the great war and the conquest of the city (Constantinople) will be six years, and the Dajjal (Antichrist) will come forth in the seventh.
Hadith - Abu Dawood #4282, Narrated Mu'adh ibn Jabal
The Prophet said: The greatest war, the conquest of Constantinople and the coming forth of the Dajjal (Antichrist) will take place within a period of seven months.

Reward from Allah for being the Dajjal's enemy

Hadith - Abu Dawood #4232, Narrated Hudhayfah ibn al-Yaman
Then the Antichrist (Dajjal) will come forth accompanied by a river and fire. He who falls into his fire will certainly receive his reward, and have his load taken off him, but he who falls into his river will have his load retained and his reward taken off him. I then asked: What will come next? He said: The Last Hour will come.

Protection from the Trial of the Dajjal

Hadith - Al-Tirmidhi #2146, Narrated AbudDarda'
Allah's Messenger said, "He who recites three verses at the beginning of al-Kahf will be protected from the trial of the Dajjal."
[Tirmidhi transmitted it, saying this is a hasan sahih tradition.]

Dajjal's Followers

Hadith - Muslim #7034, Narrated Anas ibn Malik
Allah's Apostle said: The Dajjal would be followed by seventy thousand Jews of Isfahan wearing Persian shawls.

The Signs

Hadith - Muslim #7025, Narrated Abdullah ibn Amr ibn al-'As
I committed to memory a hadith from Allah's Apostle and I did not forget it after I had heard Allah's Apostle said: The first sign (out of the signs of the appearance of the Dajjal) would be the appearance of the sun from the west, the appearance of the beast before the people in the forenoon and which of the two happens first, the second one would follow immediately after that.

Dajjal will Perish

Hadith - Muslim #3187, Narrated AbuHurayrah
Allah's Messenger said: Dajjal will come from the eastern side with the intention of attacking Medina until he will get down behind Uhud. Then the angels will turn his face towards Syria and there he will perish.

Hadith - Muslim #6924, Narrated AbuHurayrah
Allah's Apostle said: The Last Hour will not come until the Romans land at al-A'maq or in Dabiq. An army consisting of the best (soldiers) of the people on Earth at that time will come from Medina (to oppose them). When they arrange themselves in ranks, the Romans will say: Do not stand between us and those (Muslims) who took prisoners from among us. Let us fight them. The Muslims will say: Nay, by Allah, we shall never turn aside from you and from our brethren so that you may fight them. They will then fight and a third (part) of the army, whom Allah will never forgive, will run away. A third (part of the army), which will be constituted of excellent martyrs in Allah's eyes, would be killed. The third who will never be put on trial will win and they will be the conquerors of Constantinople. As they are busy in distributing the spoils of war (amongst themselves) after hanging their swords by the olive trees, Satan will cry: The Dajjal has taken your place among your families. They will then come out, but it will be of no avail. When they reach Syria, he will come out while they are still preparing themselves for battle, drawing up the ranks. Certainly, the time of prayer will come and then Jesus (peace be upon him), son of Mary, descend and will lead them in prayer. When the enemy of Allah see him, it will (disappear) just as salt dissolves in water and if he (Jesus) were not to confront them at all, even then it would dissolve completely. Allah would kill them by his hand and he would show them their blood on his lance (the lance of Jesus Christ).

Sunni beliefs

Sunni Muslims believe that Isa (the name of Jesus in Arabic) will descend on Mount Afeeq, on the white Eastern Minaret of Damascus. He will descend from the heavens with his hands resting on the shoulders of two angels. His cheeks will be flat and his hair straight. When he lowers his head it will seem as if water is flowing from his hair, when he raises his head, it will appear as though his hair is beaded with silvery pearls. He will descend during fajr (morning prayer) and the leader of the Muslims will address him thus, "O' Prophet of God, lead the prayer."

Isa will decline with the words, "The virtue of this nation that follows Islam is that they lead each other." Implying that he will pray behind the imam (the man that leads the prayings) as the word of God was completed after revelation of Qur'an and Muhammad being the last prophet of God.[9]
After the prayer, Isa will prepare himself to do battle and shall take up a sword. An army shall return from a campaign launched before the arrival of Isa. Isa shall set out in pursuit of Dajjal. All those who embraced the evil of Dajjal shall perish even as the breath of Isa touches them. The breath of Isa shall precede him as far as the eye can see. Dajjal will be captured at Lod. Dajjal shall begin to melt, as salt dissolves in water. The spear of Isa shall plunge into Dajjal’s chest, ending his dreaded reign.

The followers of Dajjal will be rooted out, for even the trees and rocks will speak out against them. Isa will break the cross and kill the pig (the animal). Then all battles shall cease and the world will know an age of peace. The rule of Isa will be just and all shall flock to him to enter the folds of the one true religion, Islam.

Shīa beliefs

Shias believe that Dajjal will be killed by Muhammad al-Mahdi.
